About Us: Since 1958, Harding School of Theology (HST) has empowered thousands of men and women from across the globe to be preachers, teachers, and missionaries. HST has developed a reputation for training ministry leaders to balance the nuances of scholarship with practical ministry.
Mission Statement: Our mission is to challenge Christian leaders to develop a deeper faith in God and higher standards of ministry and scholarship.
The Memphis Experience: HST is located in Memphis, Tennessee—the birthplace of the Blues and home of Rock ‘n Roll. This urban environment has abundant of ministry opportunities and ways our students can be involved in the community.
Class Structure: At HST, education is not one-size-fits-all. To better accommodate our students, we offer classes both in-person and online.
Scholarship: Because we understand the burden of student loans, we make every effort to be generous with scholarships. Over the past two decades, HST has awarded over $9 million in scholarship funds.
