Mid-America Reformed Seminary seeks to serve Christ and His Church by assisting in the formation and preparation of servants for the Kingdom of God. Centrally located in the Chicago area, Mid-America enjoys the convenience and resources of a major metropolitan area while also enjoying the tranquility of a suburban setting.
Above all, the Seminary is unashamedly committed to being distinctively Reformed. While Mid-
America’s theological perspective is firmly rooted in the historic truths of the Reformed faith, instructors do not avoid acquainting students with contemporary issues, seeking to be both faithful and relevant. The instructors’ thorough knowledge of Reformation history and thought, in fact, is the solid ground that anchors discussion and nurtures development of a mature understanding of the historic Reformed faith as lived out in contemporary cultures.
Within this solidly Reformed environment, Mid-America’s primary purpose is to train men for the gospel ministry of Jesus Christ. Guided by this focus, Mid-America is also committed to providing solid theological and ministerial training to others among God’s people whose life calling may be enhanced by our education. The Mid-America student will enjoy the curricular concentration arising from the school’s primary focus, while also being shaped by the personal diversity that comes with an education that meets a variety of service goals. At Mid-America Reformed Seminary, students will enjoy this unique integration of particular focus and diverse application.
